GEOG 309 Nationalities and Nations of the World
3 cr. Undergraduate.
Geographies of national identities and nationalism. Changing borders of countries, transnational migration, refugees. Use of memorial spaces rel. to national identity and legacies of colonialism. Transnational human rights activism, fascism, neoliberalism and its opposition.
Prerequisites: junior standing or one of the following: GEOG 110(P), GEOG 114(P), ETHNIC 101(P), or ETHNIC 102(P); or consent of instructor.
